18th Century Cookbooks

With finals, I don’t have time to write a very coherent post right now, but I wanted to provide a link to this archive of 18th century cookbooks.  I think there are 39 of them, and they’re pretty interesting.  Also, you can search books.google.com for “A Classical Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue” by Francis Grose.  The first edition was published in 1788 and it’s a searchable list of all sorts of colloquial words and phrases, with often humorous anecdotes.  So, if anyone just can’t get enough of Georgian literature, here’s some interesting stuff to browse!  🙂  Good luck and happy holidays!
